    Motorcycle gloves.

Hello. Friend of mine found a pair of these:

He is wondering if they are pre/postwar or maybe wartime product ? Could you help with the ID ?

I know this thread is quite old, but I am curious if your friend ever found out any information about these?

I have photos of them being used during the war, but unfortunately I do not know anything about how to determine if these are wartime examples or post-war.

    Thanks

    John

They're not gloves per se, but are gauntlets......A sleeve you place your hand inside which gives the same protection, but without the interference.....Bodes

The one posted is indeed a WW2 period made item as you can see D.R.G.M. on the tag....D.B.G.M. would be postwar......Bodes

Incorrect, if the patent was given during the reich (no matter if Kaiser- or 3rd Reich), the markings would still be DRGM; also postwar.

            agree
as example: you find DRGM marks on Postwar ESBIT KOCHER

for me it looks like DDR product from early 60's.
