    K98 Pouch Markings

    Anybody has ever seen these markings?
    the pouch looks like early war, but I never saw them before

    IMHO a Reichsbetriebnumber...

    And based on the rivets and D-ring, this is a perfect example of a mid-war pouch, not early

      Never seen these markings before, but IMO I think there good.
      They are Rbnr-markings... Without the text Rbnr
      Just like Jan said mid-war example...

        Good looking war-time pouch. This type is sometimes called a "transitional" pouch because of the steel fittings with early style belt straps that slip under a short piece of leather and over the bottom post. I've seen two of these with the same RBNr in the past six months. This one is on mbertram.de. The second one from eBay.de (shown below):
