Odd Zeltbahn poles

I recently aquired some poles that were said to be WWII German but I can't believe for one second that this is true from what I've read in the forums so far. The ones I have are 38cm long from the end of the wood to the tip of the metal shaft. Also the metal pieces on these looks like aluminum and are pinned onto the wood. The pin holding the metal part on the tip sticks out about 2 - 3 mm. The pin that stick out of the tip slides into a "L" shaped slot on the top metal shaft that locks the two poles together. All three poles are stamped ,not inked, with the mark "ltk 38" just below the top metal band.

I have looked at a multitude of tent poles from various countries during the WWII era but have yet to find anything that even remotely resembles this and so think I've been duped into buying junk. I am in the process of trying to get pictures of these poles to post on here but if anyone can give any me the good/bad news purely from the description i've given it would certainly be appreciated.

ltk 38 seems odd though - there was no 3 letter codes in 1938...

Ok, I was finally able to find the computer cable for my camera and here are the pictures of one of the poles. If any other pictures are needed, just let me know what to shoot, and I will put it up. Once again I appreciate any information one what exactly these poles really are.

Based on what I see - I would consider these poles some post war civilian ones.. - fake markings were added....

welcome to the forum. unfortunately these are definitely not German WWII poles. if your looking for some they are an easy find at a fairly cheap price. let me know and Ill point you in the direction if you need them. Glenn

I was sure these were bogus the moment I opened the box and pointed this out to the person who sold them to me. Included with the poles were 2 bakelite tent stakes, 3 pieses of short rope, and the long 2m rope. Since the poles are a wash I have a sneaking feeling the rest of the stuff is also rubbish.

^I've seen one site online in the UK selling these and from what it said they are mid - late war production. These past the standard bakelite rub test but I can't find any markings on them.

I in no way felt the welcome was harsh and appreciate having an outlet like this for collectors, especially inexperienced one like me, to come to for help.

The tent stakes are DDR ( German Demokratic Republik ) production and i think the poles are too !

Genossen, I agree with Genosse zeugmeister, this is DDR manufactured Scale of issue. I have many examples of this items, as it is my "Historic Mission" to collect this junk.

Once again I appreciate everyones input and have contacted the person that sold the stuff. These things were purchased by my brother as a present for me but he doesn't collect WWII stuff and the person that sold it to him was "sure" this was WWII since the person who sold it to him assured him it was. I've since pointed him at this forum and he is going to give a full refund so everything worked out great.
