Did you found a date somewhere?

IMO, based on the label inside (which looks original to the pouch, as often these were changed post-war due to re-use) and the overall construction/material, this one is definatly pre-40.
It could be Reichswehr or early WH, maybe even WWI issue but I don't know much about WWI pouches.

Nice pouch, I dont recall seeing one with strapping on the inside, must be an early piece as suggested.
