Leather MP40 Pouch

My understanding is that all leather MP40 pouches were dated 1942. Also the belt loops were riveted on.

Without injecting any negativity on my part to this specific pouch, can this be some sort of variant from a different maker?

That is a really nice original leather pouch. I have seen this one offered somewhere ,was it ebay ? it is offered with the mag and loader.
That these were only made in 1942 ? who said that ? obviously they are wrong.
10 years ago ,no one was collecting these and I got a pair for almost nothing and these days !!!
