    Hello
To clear something ,the French use "No " ,I would know !!! Numero is not from the Italian but it is Latin and the Spanish use it too.
Concerning these straps ,the dirty story does not make sense. From these pictures it looks like someone applied some sort of oil /shoe polish or whatever else , to make them look older. The white stitching is too " white " for a pair that used to be dirty ,even if you clean them ,they will never and should not be white anymore. They should be creamish in the first place. Regarding the round stamp ,while they do exist ,I have seen them, this one look weird ,compare it to the one on the leather center piece ,they should be the exact same ,still I see a difference between the two ,I am the only one to see that ???
I have a really bad vibe about these straps ,like I mentioned before ,something is not right.
IMO we are dealing with a high end fake here.
But yeah , what do I know !!!
    Best Regards
    Pierre-Yves

      Hi guys !!!

I dig out my straps today -will make some photos later - mine have only one round stamp in the middle section.

Pierre - this white color on thread - I know what You mean - I think is from cleaning - thats how it is when someone doesnt know how to clean leather- I bet paint thinner was used there....

Pierre look at picture number 6,7,8 and 11 and you will see that the treads are not so clean ( dirt which can't be removed in any way ).
Mike is right . My friend used a good idea of cleaning leather developed by our good friend (Mike's , mine and owner of Y-straps which I showing here). My friend cleaned leather so hard that in some pleces it's almost white . tommorow I will tell my friend ( owner of Y-straps ) to make some new photos of threads in day light .

          Detail question

          Hi all
I also have a pair almost identical to these. The exceptions are (1) the stitched leather tab that holds the D ring (See post #1 picture series, & 4th pic down from top) The leather on mine is not square at the base as these, but comes to a rounded point like the blade of a shovel. A legitimate variation??, & (2) my clips that go onto the ammo pouches have a square end but I expect this is a simple manufacturing variation.

          Interested in comments...

          Best ,..Robert

            Hello
            Gentlemen ,I give up
If you are happy with them ,well enjoy them.
Like I said before IMHO we are seing the newest generation of fake. If these straps were made on the same day ,I would expect the same markings ,not 2 different markings ( shape that is). Leather is 100% aged and thread is not pre1945.
Look at the other posting of Y-straps with the fake markings ,whoever is producing these ,have learned.
            Best Regards

Pierre those Y- straps have been for last 20 years in collection of one guy. His son sold them with other items after father dead. So if they fakes they are not present fakes - they are at least 20 years fakes .
I will tell my friend to check both markings and I will compare it.
