    German low boots (french factory???)

    Hello,

I have this pair of WWII German low boots, but i have a question : do you think that this pair is a French pattern for the German factory SALAMANDER. The stamp marking is: 75263 ?1 1/2 F43 . F probably for Französich.
No hobnails. The "Horse shoes" are marked : 22R.

    Thanks, David.

These aren't military issue. However I believe they are wartime manufactured. Many firms produced low shoes for civilian purposes. However I do believe that they could have seen military service especially towards the end. Just my quick 2 cents.WR Jim

Salamander is German manufacturer which still was in operation post war. I remember my Grandmother shipping over Salamander shoes for me and my brother in the 70's.
