    Another gas sheet for review

    Friends,

Here is my latest purchase, a gas cape and bag.

The bag in my opinion is very early war (pre war?) I say this because of the reinforced corners. I already have several bags and none have this feature.

I'm not too sure about the cape. The pictures don't show it but the cape is a very dark blue, almost black in colour which I thought dated as early war? However from the markings on the cape it looks like it was made in 1944? Am I correct? Does anyone know what the markings mean?

Any further information on the cape or bag markings would be welcomed.

Here are the pictures all comments welcomed.

    Cheers

    Ian

                Hello

I don't see any problems here ,both are 100% original pre 1945.
However ,they were most probably "put together" later.
Nice and in great condition !!!
                Best Regards
                Pierre-Yves

All is good . I don't think that all was put together . The cloth is typical late war design in turn over letter "V" .

                        Hello
What I meant by put together is : Early war rubberized pouch did not come out of the factory with a 1944 dated gas sheet. Someone at some point put them together. Untouched ,umessed with pouch and sheet ,the same way they left the factory , are not easy to find.
Don't get me wrong ,I would still be happy with this set
                        Regards
