Is there a "translation" for the makers somewhere, eg. full name for the shortones?

                            Ciao Mulon

the HRE 34 is from an estate i got about 15 years ago, the strap also is from this man, but i can`t find a makers mark or date stamp, but it fit perfectly!

Interesting is that a name is engraved on the bottom, and the name of the man i got the estate from is overdrawn. I think the canteen was first issued to another soldier and then given to this man, maybe the early Wehrmacht reissued equipment?

Could be, i got one that is mismatched (top is EPSTZ 39 and bottom is G.N.L. 38),
both are named with "Bachmann" and on both that is written over with "Knöbl".

So at least 3 soldiers used it (because of the mismatched parts)
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.
