Not saying these are fake but some things odd here.

In the end I just couldnt get past the new odor of the cloth and the leather fittings.
I can tell you this, when it was all said and done it was a relief to get that out of my collection not a loss.
Wait... so.. because a batch of mint bags was found - that means thay are fakes ??? - just like all canvas belts found in austria.. or all G43 pouches from russia yes ???

I remember discussions like that in the past...

    so - how about these ??? :

          Hi Cra,
maybe are you used to early or mid-war well finished breadbags, and those ones looks strange to you. I didn't see the one on the first link (invalid term), but on the second one, the breadbag is 100 % correct, and a very nice one with mixed leather.
All these M44 are genuine items, this kind of breadbag is known in collection for decades...
          ciao!

I only collect late war gear. Yes I know it looked almost textbook but the leather fittings have a distinct modern leather smell. Like the smell of new leather shoes.
anyways in a few years or a little time in the sun that smell will be gone then it will really be original. you cant tell from the photos but there are two types of steel buttons also. Two with age and a little rust and two perfectly minty with paint. The belt loop stitching veiwed from the back aint too impressive either. I think Kulig is just more pissed his ebay procuring secret outta the bag.
People save yourself the 80 bucks and just buy directly from ebay next time

Why is it that every snappy reply on this thread is from a member from poland?

I can only tell you Cra that you are pissed cause other members on this forum show you that you are wrong !!! You are simply wrong !!! I never seen any steel painted buttons - all steel buttons I've seen were covered with layer of zinc . All buttons used in german militaria stuff were made of aluminium , zinc , bakelit or steel covered with layer of zinc .

Sorry but all members could say what they think. That is my 2 cents.

This is a pointless downhill thread so I wont be participating in this discussion anymore.
I gave my opinion on a piece wich I handled for more than a week.

Your insinuations of some Polish conspiracy are funny.... ideas of my beeing pissed - because Sherlock Holmes from CA finds out that I am buying on ebay are funny too (like I am hiding.. I even have the same nick on ebay like here - at last I used to have for 3 years..)

BARBAROSSA is right - You are pissed because You let go a nice bag - lacking knowledge (and sense of smell)

I will participate in this discussion - after breadbag arrives to its destination - I will let know everyone if a my collector friend with about 25 years of experience - likes it .. or not...
