2 styles of winter combat boots

hey Guys, Glenn here. I just got My second pair of winter combat boots yesterday. a little different in style and these were issued and definitely used unlike My other pair but they are still in great shape. there is one major thing different about these 2 sets of boots though. if you look closely at the last set of pics I think you might see what I mean. special thanks once again to fellow member/Friend Michael Kuligow. without Mike's close attention to detail and vast knowledge of field gear some of the items I possess might have slipped thru my fingers. this Man knows His sh!t! hope you enjoy them as much as I. Glenn

thanks Mike. I know you told me you have a pair that is '44 dated. is it in the same location as these? and with just the 44 and not the preceeding 19? Glenn

Nope mine are stamped to outside - on the leather strap, and yes - only 44 digits are for date

                          Hi Glenn,
they both look very nice, congratulations, but, because there's a but, you miss the coolest version of winter boots, the more often seen in period pictures, the one with the long leather part at the front, instead to be at rear of boots.
I also got two pairs, one which got same features than your pair made of brown leather, but in black leather, with markings stamped on the leather but unreadle, and another pair with leather band at the front, made in brown leather and marked Hoffmann Kleve 29 7 42. Both pairs are in very good condition, used, but not abused (like I did read in some threads).
I can send pics if you're interested
                          ciao!
