    MP 38/40 pouches Please help!

    Hello,
I don't post very often because I don't encounter that much troubels finding original stuff.
    This time I do!
On one of our dutch tradeplaces there's this guy who sells german and allied militaria of ww2, I buy a lot of stuff from him which is always good and he seems to be a reliable person.
He offers a pair of mp 38/40 ammo pouches, what do you think?
Is this an original pair or are they fake?

    Thanks for your help!

    Greetings Dirk

They are repros IMO! Overall look is just not ok. And there are the single rows of stitching at the sides. Stamps look far too fresh as well.

      best regards,

The biggest warning sign for me is that they are a matched pair. Also I don't like way the metal is aged but the material looks factory fresh. A bit odd. The stamps looks strange too.

          Just my opinion!

          Cheers

Matching, original pairs do exist, so that is no reason turn them down. Most often OLD, VERY WORN matching pairs is synonymus with FAKE though. This set, however, is as fake as they get. Even the miniature picture on the top of the listing is enough to judge them as totaly and utter FAKES.
