    Unit marked Zeltbahn

How common are unit stamped Zeltbahns? I have one to 14.\Geb.J.R. 138 which i found (literally) a few years ago.

    regards

Would say not too common, maybe 5% to 10% of the Zeltbahnen I have seen are unit marked. Have seen a bunch of Luft unit marked ones. Usually they are early pieces.

Thanks Willi, that gives me a 'ball park' figure.

Welcome Simon....since you appear to have an interest in GJ items, it would be a nice find. I would love to find a FJ unit marked Zeltbahn. I have literally seen hundreds of Zeltbahnen at battle re-enactments, etc....so, I am always on the lookout..

          Hi Simon,

Could you post a picture of the marking ?

I don't have a GJ marked Zeltbahn, so if you'd ever wanted to part from that

          MfG,

            help needed for units

            Hello,

this might be a good thread to ask for identifying unit stamps on a Zeltbahn 31 with dark and light Splintertarn-pattern I have. The stamps are on the edge in the middle of the base of the triangle, on the light side:

            B 36 (Heeresbekleidungsamt Berlin 1936)

            II. / K. G. 155
            5. SL (this line belongs to the line above due to the type and intensity of colour)

The “L” of the line before is partly overstamped by the following stamp:

L.N.A. I/15 (in Fraktur, the second and third letter a bit guessed)

The following stamp is standing on its head or is turned for 180 degrees compared to the stamps mentioned above. The stamp was stamped twice, probably because the first stamp was and is barely legible:

            L.N.Kp. 3/15 (in Fraktur).

Any hint would be greatly appreciated

            Johannes

Might the L in SL actually be a T ? Perhaps it's 5 staffel, II Gruppe, Kampfgeschwader 155?

The other would be Luft Nachrichten Abteilung I/15
              and Luft Nachrichten Kompanie 3/15.

              Bart

Here's a scan of the unit marking. On the same edge in the center it's also marked B38.

              Regards

              Simon

                Hi Simon,

That's a great Zeltbahn ! The first I've seen marked for a GJR.

                Thanks for posting
