german blanket?

    Nice pictures ....

    I'm lucky to have 2 blankets with blue en red stripes

    But....... does anyone know how to correctly fold a blanket so that it actually fits a tornister ??? I can remember we talked about this before, but I haven't been able to find the answer on this one

    Please help !!!!

      This style of blanket is WWII, but saw use in hospitals, lazaretts, and - as seen here - on San.-trains, in this case on "Lazarettzug 65", dated 1941.

      Not meant for field-use - but of course some might found their way to the frontline.

                  I have a blanket just like besslein's. Mine is a bit on the purple side though. Interesting topic!
