Connection scheme/manual for Fliegerhaube (pilots cap) wanted

Last year I inherited from my greatuncle (JG 26) his old Flieger-Kopfhaube (leather, dark brown), Baumuster LKpW 101, Gerät-Nr.: 124-436A, Werknr. (red ink, can not read it anymore) Anf.Z. Ln 26618, Siemens Apparate- u. Maschinenbau, with earphones Ln26602 and throad microphones Mi 4b, Ln 26779-2, connector plug with four contacts, BLKvFi 27560.

I don't need the manual it self as I'm no collector. I just want to check if the electrical gear is still working.

    Thanks a lot.

    HORRIDO!

    Sven,

JG26 is my favorite unit. Please tell us more about your great-uncle and if possible, post pics of your LKpW101. If the connector is intact I can bet that it still works. You know those Germans and their technology!

Hmm, I'm not able to post any picture (do not pay the extra fee) and I'm not a proud owner af a good camera. But I got a bunch of pictures from him and some of his comrades, his Wehrpass and his Flugzeugführerschein.

I had little contact with him before he died (just when I was to young to ask him for details).

He volunteered with seventeen and his father had to give his affirmation. But his father called him a stupid guy and after big arguments they never ever speak a word to each other.

I know that JG 26 was just one of his units (had to look into the documents for details tomorrow).
Know for sure that he must jump out over France and was rescued by a French man because he was badly hurt on his left leg, strucked by a part of his "Beule".

During his time at the hospital he get the message that his pregnant bride died during an air raid, so he volunteered to Schulungslehrgang Elbe as a so called "German Kamikazee", known as "Rammjäger" and later they were commanded to destroying the bridges at the Oder before the russians can take them, with planes full of explosives. But as many of his comrades he prefer to fly in the western direction so far their gasoline does it and landed near an US POW camp.

Last year we had a date for a meeting, but he died a week before.

You are right, I'm confidently that the electric gear works still pretty well, but I don't want to destroy it by to much voltage and the plug has no hint wich are the microphone and wich are the earphone cables are.

Just put a meter on it and see what goes where. You can take the little screws out to get it apart with out damaging it.

        Regards,
        Mike

You'r right, I think it's time to buy an electric measuring instrument and a soldering iron.
