    Thanks for your input.

Maybe you can help me out with that medical pouch? As stated before, I can't find the makerscode in the list Tom provided. I'm aware that the list could be far from complete offcourse.

    Thanks in advance
    Cheers

    Hello Jan
Well ,I am not sure and the list is far from complete. One of mine medic pouches was produced by the firm of "Paul Bieneck in Berlin SW68 WAamt 100 " and it is not listed there either ,I will check the other one and see.
These numbers might be related to an inspector # and nothing else ,maybe just an idea.
To be honest with you ,I never really check the WAamt.
I will keep looking and see what we can unearth.
    Sorry I could not help.
    Best Regards
    Pierre-Yves

What about the canteens? I have seen two or three in aluminium with WaA markings. Is that correct?
      Hello
      Great question
To be honest with you ,I have never seen it on a canteen ,but then again ,I never ever take them appart ,so maybe ,there is one somewhere. They had to be inspected too ,at some point. We can also ask the same question for the mess kit
IMO ,I don't think that these items would have been stamped ,but they might have received an ink stamp. Millions were produced ,maybe one every 100's was inspected.
Now ,you are going to make me go get all my mint canteen and mess kit ,just to see if I can find something
We should all do it and see ,if someone finds one.
      Very good question indeed
      Best Regards

                  Hello

Thanks for posting the picture. That is a first for me ,never seen one before !!!.
43 appears to be the date ,who is the maker of the bottle ?
There is still so much to learn about field gear.

                    Hi
The WaA seems to be 461, not quite sure about that, it is so tiny...............Also no other markings that I can see in that picture, and no further explanations in the book. Strange is also to note that they still used aluminium for the canteens as late as 1943...
