Hi,
I wonder If anyone of you has a photo of a pouch for long Wehrmacht wire cutters? I have read that these sheaths were made of canvas and supported with leather (Osprey's "German Field Equipment", combat engineers' equipment description). I have seen many pictures of the leather pouch for the shorter version (there were two main versions, right?), but have never come across a photo of the long wire cutters pouch (neither original or collectors pic)? Did they exist, or the long wire cutters were transported on the vehicles or in boxes only?
The same question about Wehrmacht era pickaxe ( http://www.stewartsmilitaryantiques.com/img/191.jpg ) did any leather carrier, carrying frame or pouch exist?
Thank you for any info.
Best regards
Matthew
