German Compass Model ID needed

Hi Guys,
i just picked up this compass, The guy said it was German WW2, It is certainly German, and I think it looks German WW2, the 3 letter code seems German WW2. But I have neever seen one set up like this. Any one ever seen one? What model? is it WW2 vinatge?

Yes ,it is 100% german made ,WW2 period.
HAP stand for " Max Kohl AG ,Physikalishe Aparate/Laboratoriums Einrichtungen , in Chemnitz ". You don't see too many made by this maker.
