    A-Frtame/A-Frame Bag/Breadbag questions....

    Hello everyone.
Just a couple of questions regarding the field use of these items.

1 When A Frame Bags were carried was the standard Breadbag always dispensed with?
Are there any photos to show both these items being carried at the same time?

    2. What purpose did the three oblong metal loops on the A-Frame serve (1 at the apex and 1 on each side?).
Were they to carry a rolled blanket or Greatcoat, using extra straps? Again, if anyone can show the A-frame used in such a configuration that would be very helpful.

    Thanks for your time.
    Regards,
    RAY.

A frame and breadbag were used at the same time. all soldiers carried breadbag ( maybe pioniers did not when they carried asault set - two sides pouches and backpack - why? -becauase there was no more enought space on belt ).
Those tree loops were used to to carry a rolled blanket or Greatcoat as you said.

Thank you Barbarossa and Fred for your replies.
Fred, the website you pointed me to is very informative and helpful.
I have thought for some time that just using the A-Frame bag would not allow enough personal bits and pieces, rations etc to be carried, and that the standard Bread Bag, in addition to the A-Frame Bag, would have allowed extra carrying capacity.
I just don't recall seeing images of both being carried at the same time.
I needed to clarify this point as I want to get a display historically correct.
        Your help is much appreciated.
        Regards,
        RAY.
