Uge binos-case - Wehrmacht?

Found this one last saturday on a fleamarket (grandpa´s EKII should give an idea of its size). As no markings could be found I am not sure is this is Wehrmacht? I havent seen those brass-buckles many times before (only on prewar items), but I like the rivets, the construction and material... - Any opinions?

It could possibly be period private purchase, but I would suspect that were it Wehrmacht issue, it would be marked as such.

Maybe a civillian piece, for tourists, yachts, etc. - but of course though made civilian, it may have been used in the military, too?
