    WW2 German Motercycle left behind

I just inherited this motorcycle from my uncle. Apperently it was left behind in southern Greece by the German army. Very old picture (from the 1960s i think) but it's all I have for now...

    any comments? value?

      Dear Sir,

I believe this bike may well be a DKW 350 two-stroke. In order to give an estimate of value we need contempory photos, but to give you an idea a friend of mine just brought a really nice restored one for £3000/$5400/Euro4350.

      Regards Craig.

Thanks Craig, I will be visiting there soon and will take lots of pictures and post them on my return...

Can you tell me anything else about this model?

        thanks.

          Dear Sputnik,

I think you will find this website interesting.

          http://www.dkw-nz-350.com/

Their is something you should remember here. The money required to import this item back to Canada may be costly. Their is a good market for these in Europe, as many of them survived the war, if you are thinking of selling it then it might be worth thinking about selling it direct from Greece.Pm me if you require further help I have a few contacts...

          Regards Craig.

thanks again... I will keep that in mind as your point about selling in Europe versus shipping to Canada is a good one.

                Thanks for the welcome!!

.. i signed up to the DKW website, looks like a great source of information... I think I would like to restore the bike (and keep it) if I can... I prefer to have a peice of history than to sell it.

I will get all the serial numbers and take lots of "before and after" pictures.

                Sputnik.
