hey Guys, Glenn here. I saw these very nice boots listed here yesterday on the estand. ofcourse they got snatched up right away. but I was wondering.. are these standard Heer infantry winter front line boots? is this what would have been issued to troops to be used instead of the standard lowboots or jackboots? Im planning on putting together a tan/marsh reversible ensemble whenever I find the "right" pieces and ofcourse if these style boots were used by the typical frontliner during winter months then I will be on the hunt for a pair. any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Glenn

Hello Glenn
This is a beautifull pair !
Yes ,these are the standart ,as isued ,to all soldiers of the German army ( also LW and SS). Some will say brown for the LW.
It was the standart boots isued with the winter uniforms , in large # after the disastrous winter of 41/42. The soldiers received these boots one size bigger.
The boots and anckle boots were totaly useless by -40 C in Russia.
Hope this will answer your question.
Best Regards
Pierre-Yves
