    Canteen I.D

    Hi <O
    I found this canteen on a flee market yesterday. It has no visible markings besides Ritter patent whish is on the hook.

    HJ, NSKK or another <ST1Para</ST1 military organization or just post war??<O<O

              Its not HJ (those are always RZM-marked), it is not even related to any 3rd Reich organisation.
              This is a simple canteen as sold back then - and in the 50s as well - to hikers, climbers, campers, etc.
              The hook leeds to pre-1945 period, but those were still around in thousands after 1945, so they could be used-up as well.

                Question about Ritter fitings

                I have been told that Ritter made fittings long after the war. I have a BGS canten of pressed wood, exactly like the wartime tropical issue, that is dated in the 60's, with hooks Ritter marked, exactly like wartime issue. Does anyone know the final production end on these items?
