    200 litre fuel barrels colour?

I have to fuel barrels of the large 200 litre size and both have lost nearly all there paint and have a number of dents in them. I am going to restore them next week remove most of dents (i hope!) etc and i was wondering what the most common colour the paint was on them? Also does anyone know a appropriate colour code i can get made up or where i can buy some from?thanks

Hi adam, i got one then another came up as well, you know how it is!! I see your point there but these have been glavanised underneath and im wondering if they may have been painted to conceal them from clear view? i think there are traces of a dark green on them i will have to look tomorrow?

All the galvanised ones i've seen have had no obvious signs of paint on them. The non-galvanised ones i honestly don't know off the top of my head as they're always rusty.

what types did you get? The regular Wehrmacht, 200l, kraftsoff?

          Hi
I have seen 30-40 of them during the last 15 years. The top/bottom often have red paint but the tarrel w.rings do not have paint. I have seen WH,LW and KM marked barrels.

They are big but cool marked!!!!
