    WH bicycle

    Hi,

I have a chance to buy a Wh bicycle - working

Can anyone advise me on what to look at? how to recognize this is not a fake? Are there any special markings and other attributes? And last, what would be a fair price for it?

    Thanks,

    Mat

    Hi matt,
nobody really is 100% sure on these there are several key factors to look for on them and a number of threads have been started and are full of useful information to help you make a educated guess. Just type in bicycle into the search box and it will bring most of the threads up!
The original bikes are few and far between it has taken me over a year to find one that i believe to be right and im still waiting for the final check when it arrives!
You can pick up a cheap ww2 civvy bike on ebay and militarize it with original parts as that is what most of the truppenfahrrads that you see for sale are!

If you could post some photos you may be able to get some ideas off some of the members!

      Hi,

The bicycle has a "Kriegsmarine" inscription underneath the frame. It belonged to a very old guy who repainted it and traded it for a wine one week ago. I got to know about it by chance. Gonna go to see the bicycle today/tomorrow.

      Hope to take some photos.

      Regards,

      Mat

Check the frame and year number under the seat where is attached on the frame one on the right and one on the left. If is there is a good thing.
