Opinions about black leather MP 40 pouches ?

On page 321 of Angolia's book Uniforms and Traditions of the german army vol 3 there is a picture and a paragraph on these leather pouches.

Basically it states that only Waffen SS Belgain volunteers have been observed wearing them in period photo's

I normally see these pouches with the police WAa marking on them. I'm shure these were produced for a smart, all leather look? Who knows.

Iam glad I have a good pair. I bought them just out of a feeling as Iam not too experienced with these.
So is that the proper WaA for these pouches ?

I ever thought that the leather ones would be an early pattern but this was just my thoughts.
