This is one of the few I have ever seen that was an origional WH issued MP40 pouch. Very nice.

Nice find you got there. Nothing to worry about. 1000% original.
Not too many of them around.
Now ,I always wondered ,why were these made in leather ,while the vast majority of them ,were made of canvas. I once asked the question to a old vet and he told me that these were mainly worn by officers ,that the canvas ones were all military issued and the leather ones privately paid for !??? Can anyone confirm that ? I have seen period pictures of them being worn ,by NCO and officers mainly.
