    Flare Gun Holster - Original??

    Are either of these two flare gun holsters original??

    I am not familiar with holsters that do not have accomodations for holding the cleaning rod. I thought all wartime holsters had the strap and cup for holding the cleaning rod.

    What you have here looks to be a nice early East German army or police flare pistol holster. Must have had a faint stamp, usually these are marked with an MDI or NVA as well as a Lieferer Nr. If you don't want it somebody down in the East German forum might be interested - of course if the price isn't inflated because of the stamp...

    Ah, I just noticed the holster lying on the imperial flag actually contains an East German flare pistol. "Original", just not WWII...
