    yep !!! I've seen ! It's a field made bag for reserved ration of food for single soldier . Maybe you want to sell it ??? I would be very interest to buy it .

      That's private tailored item...Ration bag? Interesting idea...IMHO it can be everything, including post war civilian use of waterproof material. I got one bag, cut from pice of M31 Z.bahn ,but is bigger ,and sewn with propper threads.

        The issue iron ration bags seem to be impossible to find.Here is a drawing of a production bag and a reproduction of the bag.WR Jim

          i wonder if anyone on this forum got one
          I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
          Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

            Hi Jim,
            Could you tell me where you find this drawing ? The bag illustrated is exactly the same than the French one from 1900 to 1940 ! In France (usually) each regiment or unit made its with left material ! So only unit mark can help to know if it is a civilian or military one !
