    Big Trinkwasser aluminum can

Hi guys, today got this - a Trinkwasser can. Originally had all the paint and the lettering, but spent quarter century in a trunk as a spare fuel can... Marked SMM42. Can you tell me, who used these, the Luftwaffe, or all branches of the armed forces?

I think the one in the pic is the 18 liter can..
      How much is yours,Theo..,5 liter..10..?
I think the Luft cans should be FL numbered, mostly at the bottom.

Hi Jos, I think it is 5 L - it is 39 cm high and 13 cm wide. There's no FL number on the bottom, so I guess it is general army purpose.
