    Wow!
    Very nice finds,specially that 42' web frog.
    Is the MG can double WaAmed? It seems to have another ink stamped WaA in blue.

      Killer can that is! Great find and the first one I see, apart from mine, with the red cross on top of it!

      The metal things are to fix/hold in place a broken arm or leg...sorry for the poor explication in english. Also very interesting is the contens-label found inside, these are normally for standard vehicle-verbandkasten.

            Very nice items !!
            the steel frame is called "Kramer's frame" - its to hold broken arms.. legs - like Jan mentioned before !! I love that web frog too !!

                in English it will be SPLINT:

                in Polish in direct translation its Kramers rail( frame) .. I guess Kramer was a doctor who invented it

                        Yep Robert, The german (wartime) nomination its called : "Shienen"....you had them in wood and in metal (Drathleiter).

                          thanks for all the replies.
                          The can has a small waa ink stamp over the normal waa markings.
                          Thanks to all for making clear where the "schienen" were used for.

                          It is always a very good feeling when pulling the treasures out of the woodwork- the items really speak to you.

                            just for your information

                            The wooden frames (Holzschienen) came in 3 in a little feldgrau pouch. They were 33 cm long each and could be slide into each other.
