    Pistole 27 Holster-Opinions please

    Hi
    This is my latest purchase.
I would like to know your opinions if you are so kind to, as well as the meaning of the markings, quite unusual because there is a RbNr style number without the RbNr logo and some abbreviations and a date 1943.
The exact marking seems to be 0/1250/007 EZGU. 1943
Also there is a name written inside, and I would like to know if that number is an army serial number for that soldier, who seems to be a US soldier.
    Thanks for your vaulable help.
    Regards
    Ace

            Hi Ace,

I will take a stab at this although P.38 holsters are really my thing.

It does appear to be a CZ27 holster. The "RB Nbr" or "RF Nbr" was not always placed ahead of the number.

The format of the number that I am familiar with is X/XXXX/XXXX. So your's appears to be one digit short. I don't know what that means unless it just didn't stamp properly. Possibly, since this was 1943 and about as early as the RB number was used, the maker may not have strictly followed the number format.

The flap on your holster appears to have been trimmed.

That's the best I can do. Hope that helps some.

            Regards, Leon

Hi, it is EZGJ, not EZGU. The RB Nr. is 0/1250/0011 - maybe the last digit has been badly stamped. I have the same, just the year is the next, 1944. Also, mine has WaA 721.

The soldier was an American GI. Note the rank T/5. This is for Technician 5th grade. This rank wore a badge on the sleeve with two stripes over a letter "T".

                Cheers, Ade.

It's interesting to note this particular pebble grain leather (very different than the classical one used for the 98K ammo pouch , P38 soft shell holster etc) was used to make a G43 pouches considered like post war .
I've never seen this material on others german ww2 fieldgears

                  Any opinions ?

Here is my holster, the same leather. Probably that's just late war period production? Or a specific manufacturer? But for sure it is original:

                        Hello Theodor

No doubt these holster are original
But , maybe these G43 pouches too ??
I had it in hands 2 years ago , and except the unsual leathers , I liked the construction .
Maybe , this material was used after the war to make some news G43 pouches...difficult to know.
The CZ stamp proove nothing , since I have many original German leathers straps , post war used and stamped by the CZ army

                          Thanks a lot pals
One more thing,I assume that EZGJ is the maker then, why also mark it with the RBNr?

The WaA is on the leather pice that hold belt, on the photo it is seen a couple of centimeters under the RBNr and the year. On the photo it is upside down seen. I believe the EZGJ is the factory name /yes, despite the RB Nr./, though may be wrong, just guess so.
