Bayonet frog opinion

Hi, I was wondering if you guys know any info on this frog...like is it for a dress bayonet....why its dark brown is it for the LW or just early variant but the marking tells me army right? Anyway just let me know any opinion. Thanks, Rick.

Rick, It looks like a very nice issue Luftwaffe 98K bayonet frog marked to the “Aufkl(ärung) Gr(uppe) 24.” (Reconnaissance Group 24). The LBA is for the Luftwaffe Bekleidungsamt (Luftwaffe Clothing Depot). With the (S) most probably representing a Sammelstation (collecting station). I hope this helps. FP
