Well,I think these goggles are Czech fakes ..
The Mirna goggles I know look different and are no German IMO,they're made of rubber which is much thinner and they don't have the "German" headstrap.
These headstraps are faked too nowadays.
Another thing is the box...the label says Wagener..Wagener did not produce Mirna goggles IMO.
Lately these goggles show up all over the internet, just like the Summer type with the adjustable wheel,These types all come from the same "maker" IMO.
The boxes have different labels with errors and show makers like Wagener,Auer and Callowaro while the goggles are all the same type.

I wouldn't buy any of these.

Real, nice textbook Luft goggles are pretty scarce and not easy to find in good condition.

              Jos.

                Jos ,

Thank you for your answer .
About the googles Itself , I don't know if they're fake , but a friend has since some years the exact same pair , well worn , with a very "dry rubber" (I can post a pic tomorrow )so I dont think these ones are fakes , but eventually post war (?) .
About the box and the bogus marking it's an other story....

                Any other opinions ?

                  Hi Alexandre,

Within the past year or so very similar items have been appearing on eBay and dealer sites. Their condition is almost new with no rubber shrinkage.

Has an undiscovered warehouse or bunker just been opened this year with huge numbers of these items? The genuine items I have bought have suffered shrinkige or perishing of the rubber surrounds over the past 60 years and this is to be expected.

I cannot be certain but I would be suspicious of these items.

                  Best Regards,
                  Bob

I believe Jos is correct about the type of rubber around the goggles on the mira goggles,,here is a photo of the chain link on a pair of mira goggles in Prodgers book,,page 332 Vintage Flying helmets,,because they are in reference book doesn't necessarily mean they are correct, but it is something to consider,,,DAVE H
