It appears to be something more on the side of a parts or tool bag. The cny code belongs to Pose, C. Wehrausrustingen, Berlin, 0 34, Boxhagener str. 16 - Bill

Could be .... is there a provision for a belly-belt, probably a three buckle attachment on both sides.

Could you post some more pictures please? Also one with the flaps closed?

Bill, this looks like it could be from a dog as the two sides seem symetrical.

John Cassino recently sold a LW issue dog bowl. Had an FL # on it and a LW eagle, white enamelled tin, with blue markings. I would have bought it but it was obviously for a large German Shepherd, or similarly sized guard dog. Pretty cool though!
