Oh my God, you have got to be kidding me !

Please be sure to be seated when taking a look at this pouch...

I would hope that it is a typo but I am probably wrong. However, I don't see anyone with an ounce of brains paying that for that pouch. We shall see.

Peter has a great site with some awsome pieces but sometimes I do agree, the person selling them and telling Peter what to mark them at are crazy. He has a pair of very nice trop Y straps but for $1200.00. WOW, now thats a pretty penny. I think those will sit for awhile. but all in all I do love His site and the pieces on there. I guess everyones entitled to "try" to get what they think somethings worth, ehh? Glenn

Yes the price is staggering However Peter does not set the price. The person consigning the item to him does and Peter adds his small mark up.

Perhaps the consigner should have his head examined or get in touch with reality. Unfortunatly if it does sell for this amount then everyone will think that the ones they own are worth the asking price...

In the end it boils down to one thing.....GREED!

Ok......Peter doesn't set the price, but I think he'd check what he lists twice!Apart from the fact that his prices are out of this world sometimes,go and have a look to a certain WH M44 jacket he's offering !I often visit his site but tunics or caps with original insigna are rare and far between......and iffy pieces are not so hard to come by there!

That detail isn't obvious to the average customer. Perhaps Peter should counsel his consignors on a more realistic selling price or otherwise refuse to market the item. If the retail price is outrageous, it is Peter's reputation at stake rather than an anonymous consignor.

lol, i'm maybe getting a pair of original MP44 pouches, probaly in mint state, how much would those be?

i'm 100% sure they are original cuz they are from an granddad of a vriend of mine that resently died, i also get more stuff.
he joined the wehrmacht not long before the war in europe ended, thats why its probaly in mint state (not sure though, i go see that vriend in dec.).

but to be honest i think as Paul he should refuse to sell things like that if there too over priced thats silly money

Assuming they are real (I am not saying they are not, but I dont have the needed Master's degree in G43 pouches that it seems is needed to keep up with all the fakes, etc.), the presence of the black markings from the Russian military stocks and the condition would make me think there are a more of these out there somewhere...which makes the price even more speculative...

I've seen turds that were so turdy to deserve a turdier movie based upon their story, yet they were stamped up the whazoo with Russian/Czech/Hungarian stampings both from military stock and movie props to help pass them as genuine, and guess what? They sold "because they came from theaters and military stocks"!Now...I don't want to say that these pouches are fakes or 123% genuine, just don't let those writings fool you when seen too often!

Did M44 jackets have cotton liners at that period ?
