Who is this maker???

I need some assistance. Who is this maker? It's not a three letter standard so it's before 1942 for sure. Manufacturer seems to be MEI.

Is it possible it is a Riefler, Clemens, Fabrik, mathematischer Jnstrumente, Nesselwang/Bayern?

There is no MEI in the Liste der Fertigungskennzeichen fur Waffen, Munition und Gerat.

There is an MEL which is Stolberger Zink A.G. Bergbau u. Huttenwesen Aachen, Abt. Munsterbusch, Stolberg.

Can you let us know the number under the WaA if it's legible and that might be able to point in the right direction.

Looks like WaA145. It's on a wooden tripod.

WaA145 also appeared on pioneer tools (Garantoska ?), also associated with jln Deutsche Lederverkstätten, Pirmasens (RP) between 1942 – 43, on MP40 mags gqm Loch & Hartenberger Idar Oberstein (RP) in 1942, and on a 20 mm fuze dated 1944. With the possible exception of the Pioneer tools none of the others seem to fit the bill. Where did you come up with the mathematischer Jnstrumente? That may be close to the marks.
