WW2 German Straight E-Tool case opinion Please

    Hello,
I have recently came into the possession of this straight E-Tool case and I would be grateful for opinions. the main body looks to be made of 'Pressstoff' artificial leather with real leather straps. There does not appear to be any markings on the case anywhere and the strap that is used to buckle the E-tool in place has holes at various points on the leather. Could this be re-used leather?. I have added an E-tool, but this did not come with the case.

    Thanks for your opinions.
    Regards,
    Andy

This looks fine, it appears to be a later war piece made from partially recycled materials as indicated by the holes in the main strap left from previous stitching. A word of caution the strap tends to be quite fragile at the point where the holes are especially if the leather is brittle from age.

Thank-you. I see what you see in the photo and 'in the flesh' I can vaguely make out a '4' or an 'A' (or am I imagining it?) but see another close up photo of the area I have taken and there seems to be nothing on the photo. If there were markings, and there seems to be something in the area you mention, they are ineligible.
