What are these boots? (yes, another one of these threads)

Hello all and HELLO MANNY !!!!
What are these boots? I am convinced they are not German, but what are they and what country are they from? I have searched all the old thrads and cannot find any reference to these particular types. HELP !!!!!!!

I posted a picture of a similar pair. I think they might be German but I'm unsure if they are wartime etc. Unfortunately no one commented.Heres the link.

Jim and Manny, thanks for responding. The boots remain a mystery. They appear to be rough out all over, not just the lowers.

These boots are familiar to me. I never saw them in all my collecting years but in January 2001, I was in a surplus store in Casino, Italy and they had a large bin full of them. All un-issued and identical to the ones pictured here. The surplus store owner told me that they were Hungarian army boots from the 1960s to 1980s.

Since then I have seen them turn up in different places.

Curiously, when I go to Budapest, I ask several contacts about them and they know nothing.

My vote is still Hungarian.
