Bob - Great lighter and looks like I would expect one to look. I don't believe any of the "shiny" ones that have been around shows and internet for the past 10 years until I see proof they existed.

Jeff - You may believe me or not - but I had a whole cartoon box of those - still have about 10 pcs - I mean aluminium shiny ones - that was regular lighter back then - You could buy it in hardware store etc.. its not rocket science

Hi Mike - You are most likely correct. I just always had put them in the same group as SS foot powder, Soap, bunker candles and leather fat containers. Not saying they did not exist, just not what I would expect.
