The Unknown Double Utillity Leather Strap

I have flicked all my books in search of what this short (30.centimeter) utillity strap was used for! The detail who makes it special is the double loop found near the buckle, one on each side of the strap. To my it makes no logical sence, since when you strap something one of the loops are strapped into the material.
Have anyone seen this before or knows what its purpose once was? The sling are marked as follow: Josef Bauer, Offenbach.A.M 1937 and a big size letter B.

FYI: It cant be the short strap for the binocular case strap, the loops are to small for keeping twice the strap in place.

Thanks for the information, not difficult to understand why I didnt find anything in my books I dont have any books on horse equipment.
Would you happen to have interest in 4 such straps? I surely dont have need for it!

Hi Carl,

If they would have small Edelweisses on them .... This is for Zugpferde and was probably also used by Gebirgstruppen, but it's no special Gebirgs Ausruestung ...

BTW these straps come in various lengths up to 1.60 M.
