    Pioneer Hatchet / Axe

    Hey guys I would love to get your opinion on this hatchet.

    I just picked it up and would like to add it to my collection...but only if its the real deal.

    If its not a period ww2 piece its going into the tool shed.

          Your axe head looks like the period style, do not know about the handle i have seen many different makers marks on the heads, on the whole though they do bear a waffenampt stamp, it tends to be not stamped as hard as the makers stamp and sometimes hard to see, below are a few that have been recovered from the battlefields in russia

              this one does not have a claw fitting and is dated 1934, all the above bear a waffenampt stamp
