    Pony with an A

    ...Frame in this case.

    Whilst flicking throught volume 1 of Soldat by Cyrus A Lee, I came accross a picture of a 'A' frame attached to a Tornister 39.

    I haven't seen any war time pictures to verfiy this, has anyone else? If so could you post them?

    Don't have any photos but I have carried mine many times there, that is why it has Drings and a short leather tab on the flap. The tropical rucksack also has provisions for carrying the assault pack. Often you can see taces of wear inside the Drings, or even on the hair of the pack itself, where the assault pack frame has been carried.

        Yeah, I guess it would only have been carried there during transit or long trips. Quite often the loops are removed on the tropical ruck.
