    unusuall web frog :)

got this one today as a part of my bayonet collecting plan (first plan completed - 4 bayos ... 1938 in brown frog, 1940 in black frog, 1941 in web frog and 1944 in M42 frog)

    anyway....
plan may change science this frog is rather late.. than matching the bayo (1941)

heheh.. looking for tropical frog.. I'v found this late war (imho) canvas frog, look at the strap.. its made out of folded piece of canvas - insted of webbing strap....
hmm anybody seen this before ??? hope You will like it

(second plan to realize:- 1941 TROPICAL frog bayo..... and M42 webbed frog bayo.. )

one more feature indicating that this frog may be late war is crappy manufacture.. - loop (strap) for straping bayo is too big - I would easy fit 2 bayonets there

              Hello Mike,

              that is an interesting find.

Logic would suggest a late war time of manufacture....but i couldn't swear to it!

              I really like it

              Nice pick up.

                Hi Mike,
I think I can see soma faint markings on the back of the loop;in my opinion this is a very nice find and not a late-war frog!Just a variation on the same theme and I'm happy (and envious !)you've found that!

                  Mike,

Nice rig! The frog looks good. I have one just like that. You wouldn't have an extra brown (black) shovel covers lying around?

Mike, that is a very unique tropical frog. I have never seen one like that. Nice brown leather shovel carrier too.
