Leather Belt Loops question

This Black Leather Belt Loops (Aufschiebeschlaufen) have so many marks...it´s common?

Yes it look strange and IMO no reason for all this markings; if they are stamped at the same time? The Kriegsmarine Eagle M looks fine to me. I don't know what the W.T.L Paris 22 means? The WaA eagle stamping is the common type for proofing equipment all thru normally seen along with a WaA number and often found as an ink stamp. The maker stamp is real and known to me.

So after running thru the stampings they all look pretty real to me; but why? I guess someone just get bored and start playing with all his really nice punching tools? But post war. Or do we really face a very interessting military career for a belt loop. I am not convinced.

That eagle stamp on the end looks identical to a repro stamp avaliable at the moment to stap repro leather goods. I would be very wary of all these marks.. The end eagle is a good example of it, not saying the loop is bad though. also after the years the indent of the staps would have raised out by now, especially with wear, a very suspectly stamped loop!!

With everything faked even the cheapest part of equipment nowaday it's obvious we need to use our common sense probably much harder than we ever have done before. Anyway some fakes verus the real thing can be really hard to sort out! Always a hard decision. But I agree about your observations.

The eagle this being copied in these days cannot be a copy of this model?

This Belt Loops me seems very real... but have many marks...but the mark that impresses me more is of "Paris22".

Somebody knows some thing on this marking? (perhaps a Kriegsmarine unit in Paris)

The belt loop is real no doubt about that the maker stamp is real too; what we are speaking about is the number of stampings. Some stamps seem to be real some maybe not? It's hard to say. But we try to lear all the time.

I know that these loops are being successfully being faked in Eastern Europe, also there are large quantities of postwar loops of this exact type available, many of them now nearly 50 years old, identical to originals except missing the stampings. I don't think this is an original item, it just doesn't make sense.
