    Hi Dave and Paul.....

I'm sure it must be because I'm dutch, but I don't understand how to fold and roll the blanket..... my english is not that good I'm affraid. soooooo

I tried using the cat, but she wouldn't agree !!!! she threatens to blow me away

So if possible could you try to explain it to me in very simple english, preferably with some images / pictures / diagrams

I would be very gratefull, and would include the method on my homepage so everybody can benefit from it

    Thanks so much
    Tom

If I'm not mistaken, the origami method you show was only used by the Imperial Japanese Army. Had it looked more like a sailboat, I would've thought Naval Landing Force!

        Tom:
I don't think I'd mess around with your cat...something about the look in his eyes...and that Panzerfaust!

        Dave:
It would appear that your folding method, gained from veteran interviews, would work with any blanket regardless of size. It relies on the length of the zeltbahn as a folding gauge. I'll try it tonight with a non-regulation blanket and if it works for me, I'll post step-by-step photos or drawings. In the meantime, its Monday & I'm off to work!

        Thanks everyone, for your comments!
        Paul

Nice!!! I'll have to try that with the blanket!! Thanks guys for making me laugh on my lunch break here!! Hehe! As for Toms kitty - would it fit inside a Panzerschreck? It has nice evil looking eyes in that shot...
Well, all I know in Dutch is "Greetz" and I can barely explain how to do this in English. I'll try to type - sketch the blanket before the final folding below...

Okay, that didn't work, as the program here changed all the spaces and I had to edit it all out...Maybe I can send an Email, if I have one that will preserve spaces so I can sketch with ****s and so on...

Funny!! Ah, yes, I forgot to explain the first step - this is to get out from underneath the blanket. I see you are struggling to do just that. I have a hard time of it every morning...
I'd feel right at home in your room there...I just have less on the shelves and more on the floor.

                        Tornister backpack with Zeltbahn

                        Hi Guys,

I just saw this post and I need some advise, did the
Tornister backpack have just a Zeltbahn or also the blanket?
I would like to complete my back pack and till now I have the
Zeltbahn and the back pack the blankets are hard to find.
So I want to know if just the pack and Zethbahn to add up
                        a set.

                        Regards.

                          Dear Hayden Kleist,

Both the Zeltbahn and the Blanket would be worn together. The overcoat can also be used as a substitution for the blanket. The Zeltbahn, would be worn over the Greatcoat or blanket, (depending on which one you have connected). Now here is where it gets kind of confusing, the Zeltbahn was only worn on the outside of the tornister during formations, otherwise, it was folded into a square and put in-between the tornister cover and the inside of the pack.

                          Hope this helped,
                          Donovan
