They are not german. Shape, soles, nails, stitching ....all these features are not WW2 german.
Maybe Czech.

What time period were these made? WW2 or postwar? Is the RB Number spurious or were these czech boots used by the germans?

Postwar. Rb Nr is fake ( a well know RB Nr used on many fakes/repros ).

yes just this number exist in period often found on polizei issue soft p38 holsters.
