Cheers John, this is the very nice named khaki SD helmet on page 76 of your book I believe. It has a slightly more yellow hue in the book than in picture 1 here.
The detail above also appears to show a yellower undercoat too where the outer coat has flaked off ?

It certainly does. A Ramcke Brigade helmet from a Kanonier of Fenski's Parachute Artillery Battalion. Regrettably, he did not survive the war.
