I'm confused now. Are both original or is one a copy of the other??
It seems extremely unlikely to me that patterns would match up like that on two original pieces, even on pockets and foliage loops etc.

Would it be fair to say I'm a little suspicious when a new member first posts an obvious fake as 'an absolute original piece', then comes up with an odd story about a brother swapping two smocks around and then comes up with photos of an original example owned by another member and asking if anyone is interested in buying it?

Frankly, I got an email from an Ethiopian banker this week, promising me 6 million for facilitating a bank transaction and that set off less alarm bells than this story...

It is hard for me to believe this all happened actually. There is only the one original smock. I have it. Salt creek does not and never did have it in his possession, just photos from my brother who backed out of the deal (they made 2.5 years ago), thankfully for me. Apparently my bro bought a repro to substitute for my original, but then had second thoughts. He and I have not talked yet about what "actually" happened, as I just found all this out an hour ago.

When I asked for photos of a Plane Tree 1/2 SS smock, (to help me ID the repro I thought was my original), Salt creek posted the pics he had gotten from my brother 2.5 years ago, OF MY SMOCk, in order to be helpful. Any questions???

If this was not all happening to me I would not believe it either. Freaking soap opera drama unfolding, and I hate drama.
Here are the 2 smocks together. The original is on the left. That is the one that is for sale.
I could not make this stuff up if I tried. Truth is stranger than fiction...

For what it’s worth, I’ll mention that I bought the runic tab that NatS posted a pic of along with some other items in the past few days and I had not one issue in dealing with him. And the tab is great!

Isn't there some long held rule about only selling via the Estand or does that not apply?
