Ss marked 98 frog

Not sure on this one any chance its original.

Can't remember if it was on WAF or somewhere else, but I believe this exact frog was discussed and considered original.
Will be interesting to see what other have to say about it.

I have the same frog, but the stamps themselves look different here they are pressed into the correct SS stamps, as if they were cut out

So the wear in the leather is due to the stamps erased and then re stamped post war,
this is what I think the markings look very heavily stamped.
